Yesterday was the birthday of the King of Peru so to celebrate we took a trip to London. For me there is no better person in the world to spend the day shopping, I have someone who gets just as excited with clothes as I do (and thats quite a feat)
When we go for the day our schedule is very precise as there is always so much we want to see. Our first stop is always Selfridges and Shoe Galleries is always a must. Yesterday I was looking for Isabel Marant Danelya boots in white but I found the silver and tried those instead. I did continue my search for the white crackled leather but it was unsuccessful.
Isabel Marant Danelya Boots £430 here
A visit to Whistles whilst in Selfridges and completely fell in love with a mixed dot jumpsuit and a lilac gilet! ( I know but it was complexly beautiful). The jumpsuit clearly has more mileage so I can confirm that even though I didn’t buy it yesterday it is now on its way to me. Sadly I cannot find an image of the gilet.
Whistles Mix and Match Spot Jumpsuit £249 here
I will wear this so many times especially in store (personal shopping) it is perfect (well hopefully)
I do think this silk dress is also a must for summer is store.
Whistles Multi Strap Silk Willa Dress £219 here
Next a visit to South Molten Street to visit two of the King of Peru’s favourite boutiques Vertice and Layers. Nice pieces but no purchases!
By this time we were both starving so lunch at our favourite London restaurant Daphnes on Draycott Avenue in Chelsea (opposite J Crew and near Joseph) The food is divine and my Bellini was sublime ! I had Linguine with crab chilli and parsley and it was truly delicious the King of Peru ate Calves Liver and was equally delighted (he had the same last time so the speaks volumes)
With our newly restored energy we walked out of the restaurant and straight into Golden Goose Deluxe Brand’s new store. With my new found love of sneakers this store was like a candy shop. I left with these very pretty sneakers which I cannot wait to wear (and they are sparkly too )

I have been a little annoyed with myself for not buying a Valentino VLTN tee when they first hit the stores and now they have sold everywhere! Yesterday after seeing the King try one on in Joseph the answer came to me “just buy a mens extra small” I bought the birthday boy a black one and he later bought me a white one in Harrods (not sure that is fair on your birthday!)

This Valentino mens parka was the piece that stole both of our hearts! As a real parka lover (I do have a few) this one ticked every box, it even includes a detachable gilet!

I never found the Isabel Marant white boots, I know they are online but for now I will leave them alone. I love my new sneakers way too much to share.
Everyone needs a little camouflage in their wardrobe.
Valentino Camouflage Hoodie £1050 here
Belt bags or bum bags whatever you want to call them are having a new lease of life. I for one am totally obsessed although I will admit I am not sure how many times I would use one so I would be cautious with price point!!
I have searched the net this morning for my favourites and I have included all price points. You will have to admit that they are all very cute and would work over most outfits.
They may only be big enough for your phone, keys, cards and lip stick but what else do you need. I think for me it would be the hands free shopping (well until you have shopping bags) I really don’t enjoy taking a tote to town!
I will start with the one I am going to try myself!

Tomorrow is a return to reality after three weeks on the beach in Peru, but even in paradise I find things that I love and I never stop concocting outfits.
My main love has been these Valentino khaki slides, whilst wearing my pink pair I thought if only they were available in khaki. The very next day there they were on Selfridges website. (must be magic and a sign)
I have been thinking of small ways to give my work wardrobe a boost when I return to the UK and these Topshop tee shirts will work so well with pants. I particularly fancy a pink tee for spring and this by KOCHE at net a porter is very cute.
My main love is always shoes and I cant help but love these espadrilles by Chloe, they are very pretty.
Following on from my new obsession with sweatshirts this one from Zara is pretty cool, I love the colour! I also love this simple white tee from our favourite high street store (well it’s mine anyway)

There I was innocently checking Mytheresa.com when suddenly there they were in front of me.
These boots are simply perfect for spring/summer with tanned legs, I am already concocting outfits. I know it is freezing outside and they are hardly snow boots but their time will come. I do realise that someone will point out that bear more then a passing resemblance to my pink Acne star boots but really they are very different VERY!
Valentino Soul Rockstud Ankle Boots £895 here
Recent events have meant that this year I haven’t done my usual Lima Dreaming countdown, an unexpected trip to Canada to see a very poorly little boy followed by an unexpected stay in Schipol airport certainly dampened my enthusiasm a little.
Tonight however I am sat here thinking only 5 more days and I will be on that plane Lima Dreaming all of the way.
I have so many little treats to take with me to add to my already beautiful wardrobe.
Every year I take a few additions to freshen up my wardrobe some of my pieces have been there for ten years and I still enjoy them.
This year I am taking:
Zara off the shoulder dress
Zara printed denim shorts £25.99 here
My gorgeous Valentino sandals (these are Lima veterans) with The King of Peru in Guidi)
Berenice Rose emerald green pretty dress
Pampelone 55 blouse
Zara embroidered denim shorts £25.99 here
I am sure there a few other things tucked away waiting to go in my suitcase, we shall see…………….
Perfect for sunny days and holidays.
Valentino Camouflage printed slides £175 here
I have to say that this week has been a week of potential major obsessions and I mean MAJOR I even found the prettiest dress ever for my Lima Dreaming wardrobe. (really)
Poupette St Barths Sasha printed dress £218 here
It is that time of the year when the christmas party becomes the topic of conversation and “what to wear”. I am not one for glitter and sequins so when I spotted this Whistles navy skirt I knew I had found my outfit and I can wear it afterwards (many times). I will team it with a Whistles tee and some old but beautiful Prada silver wedges.
Whistles Au Revoir logo tee £49 here
Whistles Satin Pleated Skirt £139 here
and to finish it off my Prada wedges, I am not sure how long I can dance in them but they are so pretty.
I can’t resist a good hoodie at the moment they are my new found friends
Zara sweatshirt with textured hood £29.99 here
These slides are the things dreams are made of (mine anyway) and are perfect for Lima Dreaming, it is a shame I already have so many pretty sandals (apparently it’s written in stone)
Valentino Free Rockstud Slide Sandals in azure £535 here
This bag will complete my party outfit
Kurt Geiger London Tweed Kensington Bag £95.20 here
I think that may be all this week but I am sure there are so many pretty things out there.
I cannot believe that I actually said I did not need anymore sandals for my “Lima Dreaming” holiday this year, clearly I wasn’t thinking straight! (I probably had a fever at the time)
These Rockstud slides are just gorgeous and very comfortable (I know this as I have them in pale pink already) They will all work so well if only……………
Valentino Rockstud PVC slides £220 here
