“what else do you need” a thought provoking question.

It was early this morning when I was discussing my Lima Dreaming wardrobe with the King of Peru that he uttered the words “what else do you need” I immediately replied nothing because it is the correct answer in theory!

Yesterday I added two Mango playsuits to the mix and there is a Seafolly sundress waiting for me also but what else could complete my “Lima Dreaming” wardrobe .

I do have quite a few pairs of sandals but every year tradition dictates (I love traditions) I take a new pair of  Sophia Websters to add to the collection. These would go with everything and I could wear them for beach or city.

A new bikini is an essential addition every year but I always struggle to find bright colours in a style I like. This orange one is beautiful but I would mix and match it with other block colours. I have Heidi Klein bikinis that have been in Peru now for ten years and they always look as good as new.

No trip is ever complete without a new hat, I already have a wall full of them but there is always room for another.

And now the Lima Dreaming wardrobe is complete!

Outfit of the day Lima Dreaming style it’s about beach life..

Call me sad but today I worked out that it is only 159 days until my annual Lima Dreaming trip so my thoughts have naturally turned to the beach. I always leave my clothes behind so I have a good collection waiting for me but each year I like to add a few new pieces.

This outfit would take me to the local restaurants at the beach (Punta Hermosa)  and also for walks in Lima (with a bellini as a reward)

My new label love Berenice a little Parisian chic ……

Yesterday afternoon when I was in Harvey Nichols I tried some dresses for Lima Dreaming by Berenice and I have to admit it will be my new go to label. Unfortunately I cannot find any where to buy it online,  www.berenice.net is the official website but you cannot buy (tears), there is a stand alone store on South Molton Street London and it is available in Harvey Nichols Manchester and Edinburgh stores.

This emerald green  ROSE dress is so pretty and I cannot wait to wear it.

The VISHAL dress in navy is another to add to my  Lima Dreaming collection

I may have to go back soon for the VAINA playsuit it is so pretty

I would team this VALDA top with some cute denim shorts

Cute MATTEW shorts

Something for a chilli breeze JONNA scarf

DALYA hat we all need a cool sun hat

You need this ZIGGY bag just because it’s gorgeous

Anthropologie summer styling at it’s best 15 must haves………

I can always find things I love in Anthropologie, it has to be one of my favourite stores ever (especially the Kings Road store)

It really has really special items that you do not find on the high street, things that look just a little different!

These are my favourite pieces that would so well for a UK summer or my Lima Dreaming adventure.

Lima Dreaming Countdown 11 Days To Beachlife…………

The excitement is building with only eleven days to go!! When we are in Peru we always split out time, its weekends in Lima and weekdays at the beach. I know my clothes will be in the wardrobe waiting for me, the beach, the food, the walks the view it is all amazing. It is time just spent chilling on the beach whilst the King of Peru surfs (I may give it go again) or walking along the coast for Piccarones (a bit like donuts but way better) or doing nothing at all.

These are some of the things I am l looking forward to at the beach.

My Charo Ruiz Ibiza skirt (love the colour)

Sergio Rossi sandals (tanned legs and orange sandals)

Hats (I do love my sun hats)

Sitting on the beach (me taken through a zoom lens)

King of Peru preparing a board

The King of Peru off for a surf.

Crab Claw Ceviche at Marcelo’s beach restaurant

You can buy anything on the beach

Lima Dreaming with Heidi Klein beachwear|The Best Bandeau Bikinis |

With only 52 days to go to my annual Lima trip (not that I am counting!) I find myself thinking about life on the beach constantly!!!

I do have quite a few pieces for the beach in Lima but each year I like to add a few more just to keep it interesting. Heidi Klein always plays a big part in my beach wardrobe, I have bikinis and hats that are probably eight years old but still look great.

The first three photos are some of my Heidi favourites the rest are things I would like for this year! I particularly LOVE the Maya Bay Glitter espadrilles, I can see them now with tanned legs!!

My Lima Life 3rd Instalment|South American Travel|Winter Sun|

Yesterday was quite a monumental day for me as I actually went into the Pacific on a surfboard. People who know will be surprised as I never go into the water, I have a real fear which until now I hadn’t overcome. It all came as a bit of surprise really a few days ago I announced that I wanted to have a go so we went and got me a wetsuit. That was a commitment as I would have hated to waste the money and not used it.

With the help and patience of the King of Peru I went quite way out on the board and when I knew I had enough for one day we came back in. There were a few nerves but I knew I was in very safe hands and I will be going out again soon.

After that it was a celebratory drinks on the beach and then a Pizza at our local restaurant. All in all a very good day.

This morning it was breakfast at the local market a fried egg sandwich and a gorgeous juice to make everything feel better!! I have this into a new tradition and I do love a good tradition!!!

It has been a very chilled day and we had some of favourite food for lunch Chicken soup (Peruvian style) which is so good followed by yellow potato puree (unique to Peru), fried egg, rice and fried banana. Comfort food at its best served with a cold Cusquena!!

Tomorrow we will be off to Lima for the weekend so I will be visiting the Indian markets and having a few cocktails along the way.

Me ready to surf!!

The finished product fried egg sandwich and a Tuna & Granadilla juice. This juice is amazing and is especially good when you have an upset tummy.

My wishlist for a break at Lake Como |Holiday wardrobe|

I have just booked a few days in Lake Como for the end of August so my thoughts have now turned to my wardrobe. Most of my summer clothes are currently living in Peru where they patiently await my annual visit.

I do have some pieces here that I cam work around but I will need to buy one or two new things!!

The star of the show for those long hot days will be my Charo Ruiz blue skirt which has now sold out but it is still available in white, gorgeous for showing off those tanned legs! and my Sergio Rossi orange sandals.

Denim shorts are crucial as well as an Isabel Marant linen tee teamed with pale blue Birkenstocks for long lazy walks.

This Juliet Dunn dress is perfect for either cocktails or a trip into Milan.

I have picked the cross body bag by Valentino as it is just perfect for carrying at all times and large enough for the essential “hot weather repair kit”
