Well it has certainly been an interesting few days in store (House of Fraser Manchester)! Monday brought all sorts of interesting people to the shopping suite.
First up was a lady who is making her mark on a local soap opera, I first met her in August when she came to buy her “character” wardrobe which was a lot of fun as she doesn’t really like shopping!! This time it was all about her personally, she needed a red carpet worthy dress as she is co hosting an awards ceremony soon.
This is the dress and she looked fabulous:
Chesca Beaded Mesh Maxi £175 here
She will back soon for another red carpet dress for the Soap Awards.
Next up was a lady who was actually attending a wedding on Tuesday we laughed a lot at her last minute effort to find a dress!! No pressure with this one AT ALL!!
She actually bought a few dresses, one for the wedding a few for work.
The dress for the wedding.
Phase Eight Callula Tapeworm Dress £225 here
My last lady on Monday had a very interesting story, she had given up a high salary, high pressure job in finance to concentrate on her family. She was however studying for an MBA at Oxford and was off to India as part of this so we needed “India ready” clothes.
She was expecting high temperatures but still needed to look smart so these are a few of the things she bought.
French Connection Avenue Trousers £80 here (Linen Blend)
Marella Odino Lace Front Top £110 here
What else has been going on? Well people who know me may be surprised to know about my “little blue book”!! In this I am recording every penny I spend every day, I have to say it is enlightening but I know it will help me save more and waste less. I can be seen carrying it everywhere with me and it is a very pretty colour.
My shoes from Finery London arrived yesterday, what gorgeous pair of shoes for an amazing price. I am sure I will be wearing them tomorrow so an image will follow. Imagery! now that is a new project, I take a terrible photo as everyone knows but I would like to share more images with you, so I am going to practise!! I will share my progress with you.
Finery Ferncroft Slingbacks £95 here
These shoes were a steal for me firstly they had a 20% discount code for shoes then I had £15 in Finery points, result £61.
I started a new Instagram account this week called Ageing Beauty, why you may ask? Well I have long believed in certain beauty brands and my skin has definitely benefited from Chanel skincare but this year I am going challenge myself to try new and not always expensive brands. (more savings in my little blue book)
My first foray in to the action was a concealer pen!! I normally use one from Chanel but I bought one from Autograph at Marks & Spencer. I have to say so far I have not noticed any difference at all but it is early days.
Autograph Illuminating Concealer £9.50 here (the packaging is still cool)
Next trial will be foundation but I haven’t decided which one to try yet.
Well I have a busy few days coming up in the shopping suite so I am sure I will have lots of tales on Sunday.
Have a great week.
