This is currently my favourite piece in my wardrobe a Whistles green satin pleated skirt that just looks amazing. It goes against everything that I have always believed “I look terrible in pleated skirts” The weight and the size of the pleats make it hang straight rather than ballooning out over hips and bum!
I wore it with a Whistles navy logo tee and mustard yellow Gucci loafers .
I do love a pleated skirt but they don’t always love me (being quite short!) but this one by Whistles has a sheer lace bottom which will give the illusion of height. I would wear it with a simple tee which usually means a Whistle’s logo tee and my Kurt Geiger platforms.
I went looking for some new wardrobe must haves for work today. After a few days of feeling very hot in black I knew some urgent additions were needed!
I found some linen trousers in Zara which I think will work very well. Then I found these flat sandals which will keep the “Health & Safety” people happy as they have closed toes but are so pretty and comfortable.
I then had a good rummage around Topshop and found a couple of great black skirts which will work with the new flats.
Then it was a quick visit to COS and I found a great navy dress. I still can’t find many tops but it gives me the excuse to keep searching!!
There are so many of them out there at the moment and I think there is a shape and length for everyone. I love pleats but being quite small they can bury me but I know that with a bit of experimenting I will find one I love.
I think my passion for pleats started yesterday when I included the leather skirt by Alice & Olivia, that was definitely a case of love at first sight.
