It was early this morning when I was discussing my Lima Dreaming wardrobe with the King of Peru that he uttered the words “what else do you need” I immediately replied nothing because it is the correct answer in theory!
Yesterday I added two Mango playsuits to the mix and there is a Seafolly sundress waiting for me also but what else could complete my “Lima Dreaming” wardrobe .

I do have quite a few pairs of sandals but every year tradition dictates (I love traditions) I take a new pair of Sophia Websters to add to the collection. These would go with everything and I could wear them for beach or city.
A new bikini is an essential addition every year but I always struggle to find bright colours in a style I like. This orange one is beautiful but I would mix and match it with other block colours. I have Heidi Klein bikinis that have been in Peru now for ten years and they always look as good as new.
Finally I have found the crossbody bag of my dreams (I am being serious) I have tried many and looked at hundreds but this one is a perfect size (a huge plus) the colour is amazing (hmm the same as my rock stud sandals, a small minus) and it goes across body (massive plus)
Fashion maths tells me it is perfect just don’t wear it with the sandals simple!
This Whistles playsuit in orange linen (I love orange) would work perfectly as a Lima Dreaming piece, I could wear it at the beach (eating out or messing around) or in Lima (cocktail time) I do believe my Sophia Webster Lilico sandals would work so well with it.
Well Lima Dreaming is well and truly under way, the sun is shining and all is beautiful (except for my insect bite, it’s very large!) so it is time to do a little work!!
I was just innocently browsing My Theresa and there they were just waiting to torture me Isabel Marant and Valentino. This orange Valentino bag with the guitar strap is just wonderful the colours are gorgeous but such a bag needs to be worn with a very casual outfit (don’t want to look I tried to hard) and nobody does laid back chic like Isabel Marant. This skirt works for me in so many ways, the colour is gorgeous, it is a perfect length and I can dress it up or down (notice I talk about the skirt like it is in my wardrobe already!!)
Every cool outfit needs cool ankle boots and for me the Isabel Marant Danae boots win every time, I have had a pair (snakeskin effect) for 18 months and they are THE most comfortable and coolest boots ever. I have gone for a grey suede this time as they will go with everything. (totally everything)
I spotted this bag in store today, the colour is amazing and even better it is the sale!!
For me the important thing (apart from the colour) is the internal pockets, this bag is so well made. The internal pockets are just what you need, especially the middle section, just perfect for passports etc. If my mac air fits inside then we have a Lima Dreaming special!!

Hello again and yes it is that time again already. It has been a wonderful end to the week in store (House of Fraser Manchester) and once again I will say “I love my job”
I finally wore my blue dress from Zara yesterday and I do love it, it is so simple and my silver Acne Star Boots were the perfect addition!! The fact that I also had blue ankle socks under my boots brought the comment “Oh look at you fancy nancy” you know who you are Gemma!! I have had the socks awhile and there was no planning involved honestly!
Have there been any mini obsessions this week? of course there has!!
You may think I have a bit of obsession with Whistles and yes I do but the reason is there is such a great collection in store (House of Fraser) and I see it every day. NOT MY FAULT!
I had a bit of moment on Friday morning, I realised that my lovely mini doesn’t appreciate being driven in the snow. It took a very galant bus driver and 6 of his passengers to get it moving on a snowy hill. After that I had to call home so the King of Peru could come and help me turn the car around and take it back home. It makes you realise that there are a lot of very nice people out there and how lucky we are to encounter them.
It has been another few days of lovely customers in store for me. On Friday I had a lovely girl just wanting a bit of refresh as she felt she was always in black skinny jeans and neutral jumpers. There was definitely a bit of orange in her wardrobe when she left and she looked amazing in this dress.
Saturday brought some lovely customers, the first of the day was a solicitor returning to work after maternity leave and her friend. It was quite funny because they both bought the same dress from Gray & Willow plus lots more!!
Next up was a lady who had travelled from Maidstone in Kent for a 40th birthday outfit. She didn’t like girly, never wore dresses and didn’t like heels. Well we had a real giggle whilst she tried clothes on but I did find her the perfect dress and shoes.
To end the day I had a young girl looking for a prom dress, no sparkles just simple was my brief and we did find her the perfect dress. Both her and mum are back next week for outfits for a special event in London so watch this space.
Paris Fashion week is well under way and in the last few days I have seen Chloe, Isabel Marant and Dior and these are my favourites images from each.
The Valentino show is on Tuesday so I will share it with you on Wednesday. Have a good week.
