I am currently researching waterproof coats ready for my trip to Canada at the end of October. My coat collection consists of parkas, wool coats and leather jackets none of which are entirely suitable for walks on the beach or trips to play parks with small twin boys.
The weather will be mild and wet and it’s not like I will be hiking in the Rockies!!
I think it just needs to keep me dry and look good with my jeans at the same time. (it has a hood, I love hoods)
This Hunter rubberised jacket ticks all of the boxes and is available in so many colours, my favourite is the dark green.

All of my thoughts have turned either my trip to Canada in October or Lima Dreaming at the end of December, two very different trips with very different weather.
I spotted this burgundy biker jacket by Zara the other day and I fell completely in love with colour. I am already planning outfits and deciding what bags would work with it.
My reasoning for my desperate need to buy this jacket is my trip to Canada. I an going to Vancouver Island so the weather shouldn’t be freezing at the end of October but it will be wet some days. I would team it with my new corduroy cap, also from Zara for a perfect combination for walks, play parks as I will be with my little munchkins.
Zara Newsboy Cap £15.99 here
Zara Biker Jacket £89.99 here
The only downside to this jacket is the zip, I don’t know how i feel about the diagonal zip! I know this may seem trivial but I would rarely fasten it and this is why I like symmetry.
So, the question is should I opt for the Aviator jacket instead? It is only available in black but it gives perfect symmetry when open and the new cap would still work perfectly. it would go over anything and everything ) It would also mean I could stick with my beautiful colourful bags (very important)
Zara Aviator Jacket £89.99 here
I do think I need to go to Zara and try them both on immediately.
I could add to the drama by including other jackets in the dilemma but at this price point it keeps it fun.
Camo for the weekend.

I always love pretty denim pieces when summer arrives and a denim jumpsuit is just wonderful. (I do love a jumpsuit)
I know autumn is only a moment away but some of these pieces will see you through to cooler days. I will be lucky enough to have my summer again in January (Lima Dreaming)
This jumpsuit at Anthropologie is probably the perfect place to start and the Whistles pink denim jacket a perfect finish.

I would team this jacket with Kurt Geiger Lowdown wedges, I love the striped platforms and the grey suede brogue.. How many outfits could you create with just a few simple basics? I am thinking navy/black culottes, dress or jeans with a simple tee or knit for a great outfit.
