Yesterday afternoon when I was in Harvey Nichols I tried some dresses for Lima Dreaming by Berenice and I have to admit it will be my new go to label. Unfortunately I cannot find any where to buy it online, www.berenice.net is the official website but you cannot buy (tears), there is a stand alone store on South Molton Street London and it is available in Harvey Nichols Manchester and Edinburgh stores.
This emerald green ROSE dress is so pretty and I cannot wait to wear it.
The VISHAL dress in navy is another to add to my Lima Dreaming collection
I may have to go back soon for the VAINA playsuit it is so pretty
I would team this VALDA top with some cute denim shorts
How on earth can you choose from all of the gorgeous things on offer at Whistles.. My confusion started yesterday when two boho tops arrived in store (House of FraserManchester) and continued when I checked everything that was new on the website. There is so much colour and all of the main trends I really cannot decide which is my favourite piece but these are my favourites.
I know it is only two weeks since I returned from Peru and I am still wearing the tan like a badge of honour BUT I do think these slides would be perfect for our Lima Dreaming walks (they always end with a cocktail)
They are high enough (do not like flats for walking) to be comfortable, pretty enough to wear with sun dresses/shorts and the leather looks soft enough to be comfortable (you cannot wear plasters they look horrible)
I also love that they are available in store (House of Fraser) so I can try them before I ordering them.
To strike a theme for the last few days I am trying to be exceptionally good at not buying everything I like.
Bearing this in mind there have been a lot of giggles around store in the last few days as I tell everyone that I am going to be very good and I won’t be buying so many things that I don’t really need. I want to end this year feeling like I have saved something instead of wearing it all. It is so easy to get carried away when you are surrounded by clothes and shoes!!! My first test was this small drawstring bag from Whistles, it was only in black in store and I was successful at walking away from it but I have just spotted it in orange on the website HELP It is just big enough for a phone a card and lipstick.
I am really lucky that I get to meet some very interesting people everyday at work, this week has been no exception at all.
On Thursday,I had a young mum who had been given a voucher to spend on new clothes. These appointments are so special as quite often they haven’t shopped properly for themselves for a few years. Watching them transform as they try on the clothes is a pleasure, they forget what is like to look good. All it took was carefully chosen pieces from Oasis and Warehouse and the result was a very happy customer.
I also had the pleasure of finding a prom dress for a lovely young lady, it was very easy, a simple floor length cami dress with beading in grey. She looked stunning and the icing on the cake was mum was going to buy her Jimmy Choo‘s to wear with it. What more can a girl ask for?
Friday brought me more lovely customers especially a very beautiful lady looking for 80th birthday outfits!! She certainly didn’t look anywhere near that age either in her face or her figure!! Her secret I believe is that she does yoga everyday and has done for many years and the fact she enjoys life. For her birthday she was taking 22 members of her family to the Lakes as a treat.
The outfits that I chose for her where full of colour and they absolutely reflected her personality. We discussed different styles of yoga and she made her recommendations for both The King of Peru and myself. Watch this space for the new yoga regimes!!
A photo of my beautiful shells in my shopping suite.
Another of the weeks mini obsessions is the Chloe Hudson bag with fringing, I think you will agree it is gorgeous.
As always I am day dreaming about having sand between toes, a few bellinis on the balcony watching the sunset on another beautiful day! I love choosing all of the pieces that I will take with me and all of the pieces that I already have waiting for me from my previous trips.
The problem I have is I don’t actually enjoy trailing around the shops looking for beachwear with a difference. The bikinis need to be vibrant and the cover ups need to made from beautiful cotton, these things are not always easy to find.
Over the years I have trawled thousands of websites that sell beachwear and found some absolute gems but I have now found Beachcafe and that I consider to be a coup!! The choice of designer swimwear and beachwear is pretty impressive by any standard. Beachwear includes Melissa Odabash (amongst others) which is always one of my favourites for great beach dresses & bikinis.
Today I have picked a few of my favourite pieces and most importantly for me they will work on the annual Peruvian adventure.
All of the pieces featured are available at www.beachcafe.com Shipping is available globally so no one is left out.
