I have just been browsing The Outnet and found this cool outfit, at full price it would have been £1475 now its yours for £708.25. All available at www.theoutnet.com.
I had a mini adventure today; I was invited to The Dressing Room Boutique in St Albans and so feeling very intrepid I set off for St Pancras Station. I have never passed through this station before and was amazed that it doesn’t look anything like another train station in this country. There are a huge amount of shops and cafes and its light and airy, very impressed. I want to use the Eurostar now, next stop Paris.
Only 20 minutes out of London is St Albans and The Dressing Room and I must say it is a boutique well worth visiting. It was established in 2005 and has won many industry awards for both the shop and the website. Deryane Tadd owns the boutique; she exudes a laid back chic vibe and is totally charming. Deryane does all of the buying and she has an amazing eye, which you will realise after a visit.
The boutique stocks some amazing brands with excellent price points, there are certainly a lot of my favourites in there, American Vintage, Antik Batik, Star Mela, Maison Scotch, J Brand, Current Elliott, Ash… and many more. I have to add to this that The Dressing Room is a major American Vintage stockist, look at the rainbow of colours on display.
The shop is laid out on a curve, this allows more combinations of colour/styles to be seen and feeds the customer ideas without anyone speaking.
The sense of space and colour is everywhere; there are pots of nail polish next to clothes and jewellery.
There is no end to what they offer; you have found you dress, now let’s find the jewellery, the shoes and maybe a scarf.
If you cast your eyes up you will see the gorgeous photos on the wall, Audrey has pride of place amongst many others.
Last but most certainly not least, the staff at The Dressing Room are utterly charming, incredibly helpful and make you feel most welcome for the duration of your visit.

Matthew Williamson Bhangra Beaded Dress here at Matches Fashion.
The boutique was established in 2009 on Eastcastle Street London W1, the store has recently moved to a brighter and lighter space just across the road. It was my first visit and I loved it straight away so I will be going back.
As you approach the glass door the sense of light & space is immediately apparent. Inside the colour of the clothes and shoes is visible and very tempting. You can tell that everything for sale has been picked with love as they are displayed like gems. The colours and prints are beautiful and you feel temptation calling you from all angles.
The clothes for sale are all very cool indie labels with an excellent price point; there’s something for all occasions. You can choose from Clover Canyon, See NY, Alice & Olivia, Guiseppe Zanotti, Jeffery Campbell, Eugenia Kim, Dannijo, Holst & Lee to name but a few. New additions for Autumn/Winter include Carven.
The shop also stocks an excellent range of jeans by Mother Denim, J Brand & Current Elliott with some excellent styles in stock currently. I have included my favourite Barefoot Princess Jeans by Mother Denim, these jeans could not be more bohemian, the embroidery is beautiful.
If you are in the area why not pay them a visit at 51 Eastcastle Street, London or visit them online at www.oxygenboutique.com.
Whether it is vintage or new Chanel it is always beautiful and always cool. These are my favourites from My Wardrobe, they never stick around for long as the bags are eternally popular.
This Isabel Marant Juliana Embellished Coat is an investment piece and would be classic in your wardrobe. This is the kind of item you could wear then put away for few years and it would still look great. Juliana Coat £2470 www.matchesfashion.com.
